Project Design
HMS, Inc.'s accredited designers will develop work plans for our client to ensure that asbestos-containing materials being removed by abatement contractors are handled properly and that other contractors on a job site can easily be made aware of asbestos work that is planned or in progress. Our #1 goal is to protect our client's exposure to liability when hazardous materials are being disturbed.
Asbestos Project Monitoring
Project monitoring is performed by state-certified technicians who will help ensure that contractors perform work in a safe and appropriate manner. Monitors perform air sampling, ensure contractor compliance with specifications and regulations, review contractor documentation for proper licenses, insurance, and training, and perform a final visual inspection after completion of abatement to assure that all materials were removed as specified and that final cleanup is adequate to achieve passing air clearance.
Clearance Air Sampling
State-certified technicians collect air samples in accordance with established protocols to determine whether airborne fibers are within acceptable levels established by the EPA to reoccupy the space following asbestos abatement.
Management Planning
HMS, Inc. can develop asbestos management plans for building owners to assist them in managing their asbestos. The plan identifies all known or assumed asbestos-containing materials (ACM), assesses the condition of the ACM, and establishes training and inspection schedules.
Regulatory Compliance
HMS, Inc.'s management team has combined experience in the asbestos industry of over 100 years, and during that time many client issues have arisen and been resolved with the assistance of HMS, Inc. personnel.
